A bit quiet, peaceful
After a long week sometime all I want is some quiet. I certainly got it here. This cemetery is actually a very large one near our old house downtown Grand Rapids. We chose the Catholic side (it is actually on both sides of the road) because it seemed a bit spookier and older.
It seems that no matter how excited I get about season changes, even after looking at tons of pictures for inspiration, I can't seem to figure out how to dress. This is an example of a transition outfit I wore a few months ago this spring. I know, I am so far behind in posting! I like how it came together. The weather still required tights in my opinion but not layered (like I do all winter). These seemed perfect; still warm, but not too warm. And living in Michigan makes scarfs essential basically 9 months out of the year ;)
I have finally gotten all the photos on my camera uploaded to my computer from this summer (baby steps people), so soon things should be back in full swing here. I hope..

A Chilly Day Last Spring
It looks as if fall is slowly creeping up on me. I never realize it's coming because fall always means the rush of school starting and deadlines. This year I have told myself that I won't let it pass me by. I still have a lot going on with school and internships but I am trying to take in every moment, this includes being better about updating here. I started this blog to have a way to look back at all the moments in life, and somehow I never seem to be up to date here.
Anyway these photos were taken a few months ago when we stilled lived downtown. I couldn't resist walking out on the ledge, although I must admit I was a bit nervous.
