Vintage Luggage

I had been looking for vintage inspired luggage all over, but I should have known the real thing would be better! I was at an estate sale with my parents a few months ago and found this lovely pair. For $5 I couldn't leave them there.

Somewhere I'll Miss

Continuing on with my theme of photos taken last summer, these are from a random sunny day while Rob and I were on a walk through the fields by his house. He grew up there for a large portion of his life and the house sold last winter. It is somewhat sad to look back at these photos. Such a wonderful place I will never be going back to. In a way I grew up there too. It's like a part of your youth just slips away.

The Lake

This picture was taken sometime last summer at my parents house. I often miss sitting on the deck overlooking the lake. I also miss the sound of crickets at night. Now all I hear is the faint buzz of traffic. City life can be lovely, but hopefully it is only a pit-stop in my life.

Oh how I long...

Day Trip

I went to work with Rob one day last summer, and was greeted by this little family. He runs two wastewater plants and a distribution system. I took these photos near one of the lagoons. We were able to get this close!

Longing for a Summer Day

So, this is the last batch of photos from my vacation last summer. I still have plenty of summer photos to post though. Looking at these makes me wish I hadn't gotten so busy and waited until winter to post them. I am longing for a chance to not wear tights!



Rob and I found a beautiful old fish hatchery near White Hall. We had to hike a ways into the woods. Everything was grown over and quiet. We didn't see a single other person there!





I hope to find some more lovely places such as this in the upcoming summer!



This dress is one I have had for years, but never gets enough play in my wardrobe. Hopefully I pull it out often when the weather gets nice here.
