July 4th (So far behind..)

I suppose it is quite clear when these pictures were taken, and it makes me sad to realize that I really am that far behind in my posting here. But I have been doing a much better job of trying to get my memories up here so I really can't be too cross with myself. I took so many more photos throughout the night, but not all of them turned out the way I wanted. I am happy to have some of our family caught on film, I am not the best when it comes to remembering to take pictures when there are people around. Sometimes it's hard because you simply want to enjoy the moment with them.





Here is my lovely sister (in the middle) and her friend Suzi.



And here she is again with her friend Emily.



My lovely cousin Rachel is above and Rob's adorable nephew below. It was great to watch his reaction to the fireworks.





My dad & Rob did a great job putting the show together. At the end they sent a barge into the center of the lake to light off from! It was amazing. We have had a 4th of July fireworks show at our house for as long as I can remember, and I always look forward to it each year.

John Ball Park Zoo

Rob and I took my sister to the zoo across the street from our house a couple weeks ago. Because it was so early in the season not all the animals were there yet (many live in Florida for the winter), but we still got to see quite a few.



It was unbelievably hot that day, I definitely wore too much clothing.











This little guy was so cute!













This was a really cool (slightly gross) thing to witness! The snake was eating. Somewhat reminded me of Harry Potter (even though the snake wasn't eating when Harry was at the zoo I don't think). I kept waiting for the snake to escape when the glass disappeared!



Gosh we took a lot of pictures. I keep having such picture heavy-posts, but sometimes a girl just has a hard time choosing...

Frederick Meijer Gardens Chihuly Glass: Outside

So here is the last batch of pictures I promised. I know it's a few days late, but I have been enjoying my family (and time off from university).



I loved the image mirrored in the water.







Now that I am about half way through this post I am realizing how many photos there are! Sorry, there were so many to pick from.















As you can see it was such a lovely day! The sky was absolutely beautiful and full of clouds. It added to the beauty of the glass.

Frederick Meijer Gardens Chihuly Glass: Inside

My sister and I somewhat recently went to see the Chihuly glass with our grandmother. We spent an entire afternoon strolling around the gardens and it was absolutely lovely.







We took so many photos. It was hard to choose which to include!





I love this picture of my sister! She looks so beautiful.





These birds were so cute!



There was glass everywhere to look at. This piece was the largest piece displayed indoors. It reminded me of balloons.



I will post more pictures of the glass we saw outdoors tomorrow.
