A Little Something

So here is a little something my dad picked up at an estate sale this summer. Hopefully we will be doing a little work on the beauty and then it will be mine!

White Hall pt Two

So here are some more photos from our trip last summer. The lake was beautiful and a storm was rolling in (hence the windswept hair). I love to visit lighthouses, in fact Rob proposed to me in one! This lighthouse is perched on the White River in Whitehall, MI. It was built in 1875! It was stunning in person, this picture doesn't do it justice!

These had to have been my favorite pair of flats last summer! I barely took them off.

Looking back at these photos is exciting! I can't wait for this summer to get here so we can find some more lighthouses!

White Hall

So, here are a few photos of a mini vacation Rob and I took this summer. We headed to the lake shore for the weekend for some camping and relaxing. Gosh I wish it was this nice here in Michigan now, instead I have an endless amount of snow piling up in my backyard and no end in sight to wearing boots. I miss normal shoes. So much.

Long Lost Summer

So I have been absent for the longest time imaginable. I thought for a while there this would be the end of this blog. I have been terrible busy with school, work, and moving. This is my attempt to get back into the swing of things here.

As you can see, these pictures are quite old. They were taken back in the summer sometime. I thought I wouldn't post them, but since I have them I feel like I should. I suppose there will be more summer photos up soon. Don't be fooled, it is not this nice in Michigan right now...

Gosh I love these shoes and I miss having bare legs!

Field Below

Oh why oh why have I fallen off the side of the earth you may ask. Well, I have moved, began school, and been without internet for the last month. I feel like it was ages ago when we took these photos. And, well I guess it has been ages. I think at least 2 or 3 months. Gosh, I hope I can catch up at this rate.

I am finally feeling a bit more in my element here in my new house, so hopefully things will be a bit busier here in blogland soon.

Summer Wasting

This summer has gone by sooo fast! I haven't been able to post much because I have been so busy. I finished my internships just in time to get home and adopt a foreign exchange student. Long story short, but he ended up staying with us for two weeks, and we tried to do as much as we could with him while he was here. This meant doing a lot of activities, but not taking many photos. That somewhat explains my absence. I guess I have just been so busy getting ready to move and still working full time. I feel like the summer just flew by.

My sister snapped these photos for me a while ago. I love my hasbeens, but haven't worn them nearly enough! I am making sure that they get as much wear as they deserve from now on. Nothing too exciting about my outfit. I just threw it on to have dinner with Robby. I've had the blouse for years, but the shorts I got very early this summer. They have to be the best pair I have ever owned. I kept looking for high-waisted shorts for the summer, but eventually gave up simply because of a lack of luck and time. Perhaps next summer . . .

I will post some more photos from my summer soon. I swear I will be better at posting on a regular basis as soon as I have moved and gotten all settled in.

Farmtown

These photos are soo old! I am such a horrible blogger. Robby and I took a short trip to this barn because he thought it would be a great place to take some photos. I do think it was a great location, but I wish I could have gotten some more close ups. I suppose we just loved the barn so much we wanted it to be included! The dress I am wearing is actually a skirt I picked up at a thrift store near my house. I loved the color of the blue and the floral pattern. I figured belting it would make it perfect for a dress. I am quite pleased with how it came out.

Did anyone else have a strange addiction to farmtown?? I have long since beaten my addiction, but every once and a while I want to sneak a peak at my farm again. . .

My internship is almost over here in Lansing and I must say I am very excited to get back home!

We tried to take a walk around the farm after we took some pictures, but it was soo hot!! We kind of gave up and headed home to have a swim.
