The Secret Lake

You know how you have those spots that remain unnamed even though you frequent them throughout the years. This place is simply referred to as 'the secret lake'. Now, I am not entirely sure how secret it is, it sits on state land and there is a dirt road leading to it with a clearing at the end, but for all the times we have been there, we have never seen anyone else. I suppose that it only gives the illusion of being secret, but I rather like it that way.

I found this vintage purse at an antique mall. It was too reasonable and beautiful to pass up.

These pictures were taken the last time we headed out to the secret lake. We had just left an awards banquet and had the afternoon to relax. This is where we chose to do so.

I have to say I really love this dress. I think I wore it more than any other dress I own last year. It was a good length and I love that it is sheer on the top. I also love the effect of the flowers fading.
