Sad Rainy Day

These photos were taken at Spencer Mills Cemetery in Kent County. Robby and I were just driving around on the back roads near our houses looking or something fun to do. It was such a gloomy day with the rain and the dreary sky that a cemetery just seemed to call me to it. It was actually quite beautiful. Because it has been raining so much lately the grass and leaves are so green!

I got this dress for my birthday last year from my fiance. I love it! I really want to wear it without tights and it appears I may get the chance soon here because the weather has certainly changed. It has been upper 70's to 80's here in Michigan for the last few days! I thought I was ready for the heat but now I am not sure.

Indiana Adventure

Robby and I took these photos while we were visiting his mom. We visited the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory in Forte Wayne, Indiana on our way home and had a lovely day adoring all the color! It was still a bit chilly when we took the trip so it was nice to be in the warm air with the feel of spring. I love visiting places like this! I was hoping to catch the butterflies while they were at the Fredrick Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, but time was not on my side. Perhaps I will get the chance to go next year!

I just loved how interesting these flowers looked! The shape reminded me of a birds head!

I loved these fish! I was also a bit surprised the picture came out as well as it did.

Fields of Curls

I have been digging through plenty of antique stores, vintage stores, garage sales and estate sales to find the perfect summer dress with no luck at all. I had in my mind that as soon as I had the time on my hands they would all come to me. I'm afraid that may not be the case at all. I will not give up, but perhaps I will have to search the internet instead, I just like to hold a dress in my hands to know I will love it. It's not all sad news though, I have scored a few really interesting things along the way including an old picnic basket. I am so excited to use it properly!

The weather here in Michigan is finally starting to really warm up! It was 78 degrees here today! Robby and I made the best of it by hiking up a creek near his house. We ended up in a beautiful lake at the end with no houses or people to be seen for miles. I wish I had brought a camera but I was scared it would get wet on the hike (which was quite the challenge).

I will leave you with a few photos we took a couple weeks ago, hence the jacket, it would have been far too warm for that today!

Take It Easy

This is yet again another very simple outfit post. I swear I will have adventures for you all to see soon! I just have a bunch of photos on my computer that were taken while I was still in school. This is another very simple outfit that I wore during my finals. I had very little sleep but hopefully you can't tell in the post.

Gosh I have been listening to the new She & Him on repeat so much lately! I guess I have been just so happy that it is spring and the album has that feel to it.

I have been on a few adventures in the last few days. My fiance and I have actually had some overlapping time off so we took off with no idea of where we were headed. I will be adding some photos shortly. . .

Simple Day

I have been simply enjoying the first few moments I have had to breathe now that I am on summer break. School had me very busy and quite stressed. Once I get into the swing of summer I hope to have a few more posts with adventures! Here are a few photos my sister snapped in our front yard a few days ago.

The Beginning

So I have been contemplating this for a long while, I have followed a number of blogs myself for the past year or so. I decided to take the plunge so here we go. I will keep this first post short and simple and leave you with a few pictures of a lovely afternoon I spent with my fiance. He found this orchard near his work and thought it would be a great place to take some pictures. The cherry blossoms are so pretty!! I wish they would stay longer. It seems if you close your eyes for a second they are gone.
