The Carousel

So, I apologize for the quality of these pictures, the first was taken on my sisters crummy old phone, and the second two on my iphone. Nonetheless, I couldn't help but post them because they make me happy! My family went to the Grand Rapids Public Museum this past fall to see the Bodies Revealed exhibit. It was amazing, but I think my personal favorite part was the carousel. My sister agrees ;)

If you look closely you can see us in that last picture.

Tea Party Anyone??

I actually took this photo last summer while I was cruising estate sales, but lately I have been thinking about having a tea party... We used to have them when I was little at my moms house (she has quite the collection of tea cups and plates herself) and when I brought it up to her she thought it was a great idea! I know I want pretty dresses and hats to be involved, but I am not sure what else. Any ideas??

Symphony

I wore this to see the LOTR symphony last fall. I took the opportunity to dress up! The show was amazing.

Its funny to look back at all these photos it has taken me so long to post. My bangs have since grown out (and been cut many times), but looking at these I almost want to cut them again. Perhaps a more dramatic change is in store for my hair...

Millennium Park

Rob and I went to Millennium park by our house for a walk the other day. It was a bit windy, but the weather was quite lovely. I was a bit surprised there was no one else there! I think we saw one person other than us.

New Chair

I picked this chair up a few months ago at an estate sale with my mom and dad. I hope to collect a couple more adorable chairs to use in my dream sitting/dressing/closet room. I most likely wont have this until Rob and I can find our own place, but a girl can dream right?

Frederick Meijer Gardens Chihuly Glass: Outside

So here is the last batch of pictures I promised. I know it's a few days late, but I have been enjoying my family (and time off from university).

I loved the image mirrored in the water.

Now that I am about half way through this post I am realizing how many photos there are! Sorry, there were so many to pick from.

As you can see it was such a lovely day! The sky was absolutely beautiful and full of clouds. It added to the beauty of the glass.

Frederick Meijer Gardens Chihuly Glass: Inside

My sister and I somewhat recently went to see the Chihuly glass with our grandmother. We spent an entire afternoon strolling around the gardens and it was absolutely lovely.

We took so many photos. It was hard to choose which to include!

I love this picture of my sister! She looks so beautiful.

These birds were so cute!

There was glass everywhere to look at. This piece was the largest piece displayed indoors. It reminded me of balloons.

I will post more pictures of the glass we saw outdoors tomorrow.

Frederick Meijer Gardens Chihuly Glass: Traveling Feet

I know the title is a bit misleading, I mean there are absolutely no pictures of the glass to be found in this post. But sometimes it is just fun to see all the beautiful places your feet find themselves.

Harvest Fest

Last fall I got the chance to go to Harvest Fest. There were so many great bands that played and the entire thing was held over a weekend on a field! We saw The Photographers, Breathe Owl Breathe, Luke Winslow-King, and many more amazing acts.

I would definitely go again this next year. It was such a great experience. But I think next year I would want to camp out there instead of just staying through one day like we did last year.

While some of the shows took place on stages outside in the field, some of the best ones took place in this old barn. I can't explain how wonderful the atmosphere was here. It was one of the most magical experiences.

We made some adorable friends in the barn.

This was a great trick. Really.
